A New Chapter for Symphony Park

The future of Symphony Park is taking shape, creating more ways to connect, gather, play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. From new trails and boardwalks to art, play, dining, and gathering spaces, the park’s next era will bring even more life to this beloved SouthPark destination.

A New Chapter for Symphony Park

The Vision In Motion

  • Rendering of the Symphony Park boardwalk extending over the wetland and pond area

    New Connections

A 500-foot-long segment of the SouthPark Loop trail along Carnegie Boulevard, paired with two natural wood boardwalks that connect across the pond, will make it easier for people to access the park on foot and bike.

  • Rendering of the Symphony Park building's front view with a tall shade tree and open plaza

    The Commons

On the east side of the park, a new 1,400-square-foot building will provide public restrooms and a shaded seating area with plenty of places to take in the view. This building will also house park operations support.

  • Rendering of Symphony Park's Play Area 3 with climbing features built around mature trees

    Art and Play

Next to the Commons building, a vibrant play area will create space for children of all ages to enjoy TowneBank Symphony Park. Interactive instruments from around the world will add an element of sensory play, and harken back to the park’s roots as a home for music. Additional public art will be announced soon.

  • Rendering of the pond edge area at Symphony Park with a walking path, blooming trees, and visitors along the water

    The Pond’s Edge

Enjoy moments of quiet along the west side of the park, where stone and plantings will create a nature-focused atmosphere along the edge of the pond.

  • Rendering of the Symphony Park building's side view, showing a large overhanging roof and outdoor seating area

    Dining

Permanent indoor and outdoor restaurant space will create one of SouthPark’s most iconic dining experiences. Simon Property Group is leading the leasing and development of these spaces; stay tuned for more updates about this phase of the project!
