Charlotte's Next Signature Park

Through an innovative public-private partnership, TowneBank Symphony Park will become one of Charlotte’s great community assets, a place where memories are made, communities convene and converse, and daily life buzzes with activity.

Charlotte's Next Signature Park

Inviting Spaces

The vision for a revitalized civic space in the heart of SouthPark came directly from our community. For over a decade, residents, workers, and guests have shared their desire for a park that preserves green space, invites greater access, and hosts programs that empower human connection.

  • Places to Connect

Smaller, more intimate spaces — including gardens, plazas, and play space for children — are home to a wide variety of uses and drive a sense of community.

  • Moments of Wonder

The iconic bandshell enables large community events and public artworks spark awe and inspire creativity.

  • Nonprofit Partners and Event Organizers

SouthPark Community Partners will curate public programming in partnership with nonprofit partners that serve the entire city.

  • Daily Destinations

Permanent anchor restaurants will drive daily foot traffic.

  • Seamless Access

A SouthPark Loop trail segment along the park’s Carnegie Boulevard edge and two overwater bridges will connect the Loop directly to the park.

  • Natural Beauty

Enjoy peaceful moments where water, trees, flowers, and natural features come together.
